Hank O'Neal > The Ghosts of Harlem
This is one of a handful of jazz photography books that is required for jazz history fans and highly
recommended for anyone with an appreciation of jazz and its roots. This book is both a labor of
love, and a sad reminder of how little we know about many of the true pathfinders in jazz. While it
recognizes some famous musicians - Dizzy, Benny Carter, Cab Calloway, Jay McShann, Clark Terry and
Doc Cheatham - it also celebrates a number who should be more famous. The book is written in
French, but English translations can be provided. This book is available for purchase, contact us for
more information. Some of the pictures from the book are shown here.
